Floyd Rose Tremolo Bar/Is it compatible?

Hey. I have a Shecter C-1 Gryphon guitar, and I want to get a Floyd Rose Tremolo Bar system put into it. But I have seen pictures of guitars with tremelo’s in them, and they have a premade hole in the back of the guitar where the tremelo is supposed to be on the opposite side for the hardware in it, but my guitar doesn’t have that. It only has the holding area for the switch and knobs. Does that mean that tremelo bars aren’t compatible on my guitar or do I need to get someone to install it all? Thanks.

You’re guitar will have to have new holes cut in it to get it on yes. There are plenty of people who’ll do it for you luckily – It’s quite common, as basically all installations of different bridges will require major modification to the body. You could do it yourself but unless you’re very very confident and experienced with such things i’d advice against it.
